E.O.T.C week

Eotc week stands for education outside the classroom where we get to do fun stuff.

We went surfing mega air, top teams,  Adrenalin forest.  First we went surfing it was really fun because the waves were really big and we were going so fast and we got Shaka.

Then we went to Adrenalin forest it went really high all the way to the top if you were short you can only go on course 1 and 2 . If you were tall you could go on all of them because you can reach the high rope to hook your hook on. We got this thing to hook on to the steel to use the flying fox and stuff and to keep us safe.

Surfing

Lastly mega air and top teams trekkers big day out did I say that its only for the year 5 and 6s.  But on the big day out we took the year 3s and 4s we walked to mega air. We went into watch the rule video and started bouncing we played dodge ball.

After that we went to top teams and we got into teams and did activity's my team came 3rd and got a total of 152.

Dear Future Me,

By the time you read this you will be in your 20's. This is a little reminder of what you wanted to do.

Let's start with a career so after college you would go to your job working as a singer. And I also wanted to play in the Canterbury Wildcats with my friend Mikayla and hopefully get a contract with other basketball teams. When I'm done with basketball I would love to travel.

I would vlog my travels on YouTube I would have a company that's all about YouTube and sports all my companions would have there own channels starting with the name of the company. After all my vlogging I would go to play for the WNBA Minnesota Lynx.

Then I will settle down in my mansion with all of my family and 2 kids named Lebron and Iverson and my husband. We will live in the Bay of Islands and meet all the celebs like Zac Efron, Ricky Baker, and much more.

On Monday my group made Hawaiian kebabs. We used pineapples, red onions chicken, soy sauce, and oil. And some of the other groups made different foods like smoothies, salad, and zucchini chips. Secondly we laid the food out on a table outside and everybody lined up and started eating.

I rate everyone's food 5/5

Going camping

Going camping

In the first week of the holidays, we had a family trip to go fishing, diving and camping. We went to Sumner and Kaikoura. I went with Dad, my brother Navarone and my dog Porch. I hoped that it would be sunny and we catched a lot of fish to eat .  We packed everything like blankets and food and other stuff.

Furthermore we drove to Kaikoura it took 1 hour, it was getting dark so me and my dad and brother went to sleep in the car. We woke up the next morning my brother and dad cooked breakfast we had bacon and eggs, with sausages on the side.

Afterwards  we went to a spot in Kaikoura  me and my dad heaved our fishing line over the dock side I caught 4 fish my dad caught 0 fish.  After that we drove  to a diving point my dad and brother started walking  while I was getting ready. The water was really Cold and we picked  3 paua. Finally we packed up and went home. We got in the kitchen and started cooking the fish. My dad ate all the fish and paua then he gave some to the neighbours the end .

Conclusion

I was very proud of how many fish and paua we got. I hope next time we go we will get more. But I got as much fish as I wanted and I finally beat my dad. It was very exciting going to sleep in a car and seeing a seal. I can't wait until we go next holidays.

Film festival

Making a movie about basketball

This term we have been working on our film festival so we had to pick a genre to film about and my group picked basketball interviews. 

 Then when we recorded it, we had to edit it on imovie. imovie is a application on imac. Next week we will be showing our movies in the hall. I'm sure that all the movies will be good.

 Everybody else has chosen other sorts of films. Now we are making posters to promote our movies.

We had 4 sources to find information about the bledisloe cup. Then we had to make a presentation how ever we wanted to like slides and a google doc. But this is my fact slide.  Next step: to make a presentation. Heres some facts about the cup.

 Fact 1: In the 1990s and early 2000s the Wallabies were winning against New Zealand (then NZL came back and started winning the Bledisloe cup for 10 years straight).

I'm really proud of this video because I learnt a new maths strategy in my maths group.
Something I'd do differently in my video is to not walk away from the microphone so that it doesn't sound like an echo.

Animal adaption model-walrus tusk

      This is my animal adaption clay model of a walrus tusk inside and out we made a Plasticine model first then a clay model 2nd. Fun fact about walrus tusks: Walrus use their tusks to defend themselves. Walrus use their tusks to climb up ice bergs.

The Calf's No good Very Bad Day

Today is a great day to go for a stroll in the african savanna  for october, don't you think baby calf. I said “ok” and we went to the river but I could see something. Dad roared out run!!. My mum,dad,brother,sister,and grandma all ran fast. I was left i was in the water and i could feel a bite on my back it was a crocodile playing tug of war with me and the lions too. My herds coming i can see them. Then mum and dad , cousins,brother,uncles,aunts, and grandma came i felt great in my half bitten stomach.They rumed them of to the other side they told me to “run towards them”. but a lion got in front of me my Dad bumped him off  so everything was ok. I was back in the herd and happier than ever the end.

My dads walking he stops, looks around then smells the ground for clues. He tells three of us to run there's a pack of lions, run!. Suddenly i can feel a huge bite on my neck my dad and friends have run away. I’m in the water there's a crocodile pulling me their playing tug of war with me. The lions clamped  my skin pulling harder and harder the lions win. I'm screaming for help i can smell something, something like my herd. I see my herd the lions just took a bite out of me i bet, it was good because there likin there lips. Boom!! That's all i could hear, my friends rammed all the lions away my dad saved me its so good not to be pulled  and eaten thank you dad for saving me i said. The end.
