For topic we have been learning about healthy food and how to read food labels. We also learned that trans-fat and saturated fat was bad for you.

Going camping

Going camping

In the first week of the holidays, we had a family trip to go fishing, diving and camping. We went to Sumner and Kaikoura. I went with Dad, my brother Navarone and my dog Porch. I hoped that it would be sunny and we catched a lot of fish to eat .  We packed everything like blankets and food and other stuff.

Furthermore we drove to Kaikoura it took 1 hour, it was getting dark so me and my dad and brother went to sleep in the car. We woke up the next morning my brother and dad cooked breakfast we had bacon and eggs, with sausages on the side.

Afterwards  we went to a spot in Kaikoura  me and my dad heaved our fishing line over the dock side I caught 4 fish my dad caught 0 fish.  After that we drove  to a diving point my dad and brother started walking  while I was getting ready. The water was really Cold and we picked  3 paua. Finally we packed up and went home. We got in the kitchen and started cooking the fish. My dad ate all the fish and paua then he gave some to the neighbours the end .

Conclusion
I was very proud of how many fish and paua we got. I hope next time we go we will get more. But I got as much fish as I wanted and I finally beat my dad. It was very exciting going to sleep in a car and seeing a seal. I can't wait until we go next holidays.
